RanchGPT: Scaling a Critical Platform for Agriculture

January 6, 2026

RanchGPT is an AgriTech company that offers a digital platform for livestock and agricultural producers in Latin America. Its solution centralizes operational data from the field—such as livestock records, pasture planning, land use, and productivity metrics—with the goal of improving decision-making, optimizing operations, and enabling data-driven sustainability initiatives.

Customer: RanchGPT

Industry: Agribusiness / Livestock and Farm Management

AttendanceLatin America

Product: Digital platform for livestock management, land use, and sustainability

Key Features: Consolidation of operational and environmental data for production monitoring, planning, and calculation of metrics (including carbon footprint)

Working together to build a critical platform for the field

As RanchGPT increased its platform usage and expanded its customer base, the need to strengthen the performance, availability, and operational control of the cloud solution became evident. Given that it is a product used in daily operations with peaks due to field activities and a higher volume of records, it was key to ensure an architecture capable of supporting growth without affecting service continuity.

Overall, Nublit worked with RanchGPT to design and implement an AWS architecture focused on scalability and high availability. The solution was built on a segmented network within a VPC, with DNS-controlled ingress and load balancing, an application layer deployed in containers, and a data layer based on managed services to reduce operational overhead and improve stability. Additionally, observability and governance capabilities were incorporated to ensure centralized monitoring and more predictable operations as the product grows.

Information to Support Growth

By evolving its platform on AWS, RanchGPT strengthened its ability to scale efficiently, improving the end-user experience, reducing operational risks, and enabling a more robust model for continuous operations. The implemented architecture increased resilience, improved response times, and standardized best practices for security and monitoring.

Key benefits achieved:

  • Performance: improved response consistency and better load handling thanks to a scalable application layer and an optimized data layer.
  • Security: network segmentation and standardized baseline controls, with centralized monitoring and visibility.
  • Scalability: Multi-zone design with load balancing and managed services, ready to support user and data growth without the need for a complete system overhaul.

Why did this architecture work for RanchGPT?

Scalability

The platform grows in tandem with the number of customers, registrations, and operational usage (data on livestock, land, productivity, and indicators). A container-based model allows the application layer to scale horizontally as workloads increase.

Performance

As an operational product, RanchGPT requires rapid access to information and management metrics. Standardizing data persistence in managed databases and using caching to speed up frequent queries improves the user experience and reduces variability.

Safety and Operational Control

The platform consolidates sensitive agricultural business data, making it necessary to strengthen governance, traceability, and monitoring. The addition of observability and network controls enables a more secure and controlled operation, with the ability to respond more quickly to incidents.
